“Heroes of the Slopes, presented by Marc Romero, is not just about powerful stories of individual disabled skiers who have overcome seemingly insurmountable odds to become all they could imagine,……and more. This unique collection of heroic self-determined individuals leaves us wondering and asking ourselves, what are all of us really capable of if we dream, strive, put in almost unimaginable hard work, and extend beyond our self perceived limits?

Here at West Jefferson Middle School we were privileged to have been able to witness the showing of Heroes of the Slopes. Our staff and students not only learned of the individual stories of these disabled skiers, but they learned that with persistence, positive determination, and self-belief, advancements in prosthetics and assistive devices were developed out of need and inspiration.

Marc Romero is truly inspirational as he relays these stories of courage along with his own story. This was an extremely worthwhile presentation for our school community.

I can, without reservations, highly recommend that Mr. Romero’s Heroes of the Slopes be experienced by any and all.
