When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on…and that’s exactly what Marc Romero did. Marc lost his right leg above the knee in a head on motorcycle accident in his senior year of high school. He struggled throughout his college years to adapt to basic and rudimentary prosthetics. He knew it was time to take control, to make the change and reinvent himself. And he did just that in finding his new athletic drive, confidence and abilities after being introduced to water and snow skiing. Marc has an unstoppable confidence and affability that shines a light to lead the way for others.

After discovering his new found passion for skiing, Marc pursued with great persistence better prosthetics, racing and making the U.S. Disabled Ski Team. He made the USDST team in 1990-1991 and became a leading spokesman and promoter of top level adaptive ski racing for his company and community and somehow made time to win two bronze medals at the US Nationals in 1994. Marc has come through his crossroads knowing that he must do more than is required…. that the distance between someone who achieves their goals consistently and those who spend their lives and careers merely following are those that dare the extra mile.

“Heroes of the Slopes” is the documentary film that Marc dreamed up, self-funded, produced and narrated; illustrating top level adaptive skiers that depict stories of courage, insight and fun! After receiving great reaction and reviews, Marc turned his attention toward giving interactive live presentations with his film to organizations, students and any audience looking to bring to life the ‘All Things are Possible’ attitude. Marc has a powerful way of touching his audiences as he educates, motivates, and entertains—delivering solutions and information which audiences can not only use right away but ways of life that will stay with them.
