Jeremy’s motto “Do everything you love…and inspire the world doing it!”

Skiing and surfing the globe as a paraplegic are just a small part of a much more moving saga involving heartache, tradgedy, and triumph.  When Jeremy speaks you will cry, laugh and leave inspired to take life head on.  His comfortable comedic style will no doubt entertain you, but ready yourself to be shocked, touched, and intrigued.  There’s much more to this guy than meets the eye!

At first glance, you might decide to steer clear of Jeremy because of his tattoos, unkempt facial hair, backwards hat, and ruffian like appearance.  Strike up a conversation with him and you’ll forget all that.  Yes, he is an unruly adrenaline junkie, but his passion for life is invariably contagious.  Be careful listening to or spending time with him because you may find yourself making some immediate serious life changes.

Need motivation?  Well, just look at all the inconceivable things Jeremy does even though he is paralyzed.  SHHHH!  Don’t tell him that!  As far as he is concerned, there is no wheelchair.  One of his best friends said, “I don’t even see the chair anymore.  He does way more than I do!”  Jeremy lives on the edge with no obstacles and if you want to be inspired, challenged, and pushed to your limit all at once, then just try to keep up with him on the snow or see if you have the stamina to finish one of his grueling workouts.  Oh ya…and try it using only your arms!

If that were only enough!  Jeremy founded Fight 2 Walk Foundation (www.fight2walk.org), an organization to help others put the pieces back together.  He spends a big chunk of his time visiting hospitals and meeting with families to mentor those recently struck down by a spinal cord injury.  He also teaches sit skiing and works closely with a handful of other organizations.

If you are still not convinced, then here are some more quotes straight from Jeremy:
“Instead of making excuses to not do things, why don’t we make excuses to do things?”

“As humans we seek to make our lives as comfortable as possible.  Well, let me speak from daily experience and say that life isn’t always comfortable, but it’s the uncomfortable or painful times that build character.  Inevitably, that’s what’s important anyway…not building comfort, but building character.  Right?  So why not embrace adversity instead of fighting it or complaining about it or even crying about it?  See it as this is what matters in life.  Adversity is a catalyst for excellence.  I want to be excellent and therefore embrace the pain.”

“The worst days of my life turned out to be the best.  Look at me.  What makes me truly happy is fulfilling my life’s purpose.  Well, my life’s purpose is to inspire people and how much more can I do that from a wheelchair …armed with a painful story!”

“We are never stuck.  So many people say things like ‘I’m stuck in my job’ or ‘I’m stuck in this or that.’  The truth is, my life was torn to pieces.  I had nothing, but my own human will to survive.  From that point of complete destitution, I was not stuck.  From there, I decided to make my life look exactly how I wanted it to look and here I am…traveling the world doing everything I love and sharing it with you.  Whatever you want, make it happen.”
